March 29, 2017 – 2 Thessalonians 2:14-15
He called you to salvation when we told you the Good News; now you can share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. With all these things in mind, dear brothers and sisters, stand firm and keep a strong grip on the teaching we passed on to you both in person and by letter. 2 Thessalonians 2:14-15
Have you heard about Jesus? Did you hear His call to the Good News? What does it take to share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ? Did you turn a deaf ear to the precious name of Jesus who died so your sins can be forgiven?
Why did Jesus love us enough to die for us? Doesn’t He know I am OK without Him? I think I can and I am able to cope with life. That’s all it takes. Then you have forgotten one important truth! In the beginning — God created the heavens and earth! He created all living things — including you! You are His! He chose you and called you! Are you listening?
Now, Jesus Christ AND God our Father, who loves us. God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give us eternal comfort and wonderful hope. Stand firmly and hold tightly to the teaching from God.
Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28. “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?” John 14:1-2. “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” John 14:27
Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal comfort and a wonderful hope, comfort you and strengthen you in every good thing you do and say. 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17
