November 3, 2016 – Isaiah 49:13

isaiah49-13Sing for joy, O heavens! Rejoice, O earth! Burst into song, O mountains! For the Lord has comforted his people and will have compassion on them in their suffering. Isaiah 49:13Have you climbed the highest place around and played King of the Mountain? What did it take?  Choosing to climb and choosing to continue, step after step.  When you are on top, God stands with you!  No wonder you sing for joy and burst into song of praise.God created each of us and loves us just as our mothers love us.  He cannot, will not forget us.  God wrote our names on the palms of His hands. Our names are important to God. He even named all the stars. Look up into the heavens. Who created all the stars? He brings them out like an army, one after another, calling each by its name. Because of his great power and incomparable strength, not a single one is missing. Isaiah 40:26.A name has meaning to God. Just as we hug our parents and tell them we love them, the God, we cannot see, is overjoyed. When we love Him by choosing his Son Jesus and when we show our love for Him by living for Him, He rejoices.

“Never! Can a mother forget her nursing child? Can she feel no love for the child she has borne? But even if that were possible, I would not forget you! See, I have written your name on the palms of my hands. Always in my mind is a picture of Jerusalem’s walls in ruins. Isaiah 49:15-16
