November 29, 2019 – Job 11:13-16
“If you set your heart aright, stretch out your hands toward Him. If iniquity is in your hand, put it far away. Don’t let unrighteousness dwell in your tents. Surely then you will lift up your face without spot; Yes, you will be steadfast, and will not fear: for you will forget your misery.” Job 11:13-16.
The focus of our life counts. The focus is a choice set by our minds. Do we choose what we want, or do we choose righteousness and let God lead us?
There is nothing as peace-giving as choosing to live the way God’s Son, Jesus, teaches us. Keeping a secret by telling a lie about what we are thinking or doing creates a barrier of guilt that darkens our world.
Is there any place away from our God Who knows all we think or do? If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me and the light about me be night,” even the darkness is not dark to you; the night is bright as the day, for darkness is as light with You. Psalm 139:11-12.
“With God are wisdom and might; He has counsel and understanding.”Job 12:13.
Psalm 27 begins, The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When evildoers assail me to eat up my flesh, my adversaries and foes, it is they who stumble and fall. Verse 14. Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!
Life will be clearer than the noonday. Though there is darkness, it will be as the morning. You will be secure because there is hope. Yes, you will search and will take your rest in safety. Also, you will lie down, and no one will make you afraid. Yes, many will court your favor. Job 11:17-19
