March 2, 2020 – Genesis 1:1-3
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. Genesis 1:1-3.
What a beginning, God created. Did the void hear a drum roll as the newness of the earth had no form…waiting for the voice of God? Had God spoken before? After it His voice roars; He thunders with His majestic voice, and He does not restrain the lightnings when His voice is heard. God thunders wondrously with His voice; He does great things that we cannot comprehend. Job 37:4-5.
As God thundered His creations forth, Can you hear the echo of our Lord God’s creation receive the pronouncement, “It is Good!” Another love-gift to man, He created Adam and Eve in His own image. Then one more important thing our Lord God accomplished we read in Ephesians.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him. In love, He predestined us for adoption to Himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will. Ephesians 1:3-5.
Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day, God finished His work that He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work that He had done. So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy because on it God rested from all His work that He had done in creation. Genesis 2:1-3.
