March 15, 2015 – Psalm 27:4

Psalm27-4The one thing I ask of the LORD— the thing I seek most—is to live in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, delighting in the LORD’s perfections and meditating in his Temple.  Psalm 27:4The one thing I ask of the Lord is to live in His Presence all the days of my life.  I will delight in the Lord and His perfections.  I will meditate in His Temple. It is when I fear and forget the Glory of God’s perfections, that I slip away into a land of oblivion.  A land of despair.  A land of nothingness.I delight in my Lord upon rising and worship all the day.  He is the stronghold of my life.  I lie awake thinking of you, meditating on you through the night. Psalm 63:6.The Lord is my light — He lights my way to His salvation.  Whom then shall I fear?  Indeed, there is no greater power in the Heavens, on the earth or under the earth than His Mighty Power.  Think on these things and let His peace reign in your heart mind and soul. There is no tremor of fear in my heart, but that faith, belief and his steadfastness does not conquer.  He lights my way on this earth’s journey and picks me up when I stumble.

Teach me how to live, O Lord. Lead me along the right path, for my enemies are waiting for me. Do not let me fall into their hands. For they accuse me of things I’ve never done; with every breath they threaten me with violence.  Yet I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living.  Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.  Psalm 27:11-14.

The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1
