March 14, 2015 – Isaiah 40:30-31

Isaiah40-30-31Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:30-31Weariness creeps up on all of us.  As we age, the weariness becomes bone-deep, marrow-deep, with no rest in sight.  The words of Isaiah reminds us of Hope.  The Hope that God renews in our hearts and our minds in His Time. Can you imagine?  Only in dreams can soaring like the mighty eagle.  Soaring above the every day troubles and joys.  How can that be?  Why can it be?  The Lord God is incomparable.  Who indeed is His Equal?  None.  God holds us in His Keeping.   He holds us in the palm of His hand.  Our name is written there.   (See, I have written your name on the palms of my hands. Isaiah 49:16a) How can we ever doubt His Love and His Care in our lives? He is aware of even the little things of which we are unaware.I raise my eyes to the Heavens and know who You are. The Creator of the Stars, and all of Your Creation makes me know your power is great and immense.  You named each star, and bring them out at night, so far away that I can not see them with my eyes.  Even the mightiest telescope man can make, misses the ends of the universe You created.Wonder and mystery surround You.  I follow You all the days of my life, for only hope and trust in You is my salvation and joy.  No matter where you lead me, I will hold tight to your Hand, knowing You are with me.  And with You, I will soar from this life into a an eternal life with You.  I believe Your Son holds the key to salvation, and He is my Lord and Savior.Every night, when I see the stars you made and named, I know that I am safe in Your Arms.  The One True God…forever.  I rest, renewed and sure.  The world recedes and I rest in You.“To whom will you compare me? Who is my equal?” asks the Holy One. Look up into the heavens. Who created all the stars? He brings them out like an army, one after another, calling each by its name. Because of his great power and incomparable strength, not a single one is missing. Isaiah 40: 25-26
