June 27, 2019 – Isaiah 12:3-4

With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. And you will say in that day: Give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name, make known His deeds among the peoples, proclaim that His name is exalted. Isaiah 12:3-4.

Six verses of trust, joy, and a sense of purpose, strength and determination.  There is no end of our desire to praise Him.  He comforts, forgives, and continually rescues me. Our Lord God is our strength and gives us a song to sing.

The Lord’s well of salvation never runs dry. Our song of praise to the Lord is never silenced in all the earth. Our God is great and is always with us.

Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from Your Presence?  If I ascend to heaven, You are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, You are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there Your Hand shall lead me, and Your Right Hand shall hold me.  Psalm 139:7-19.

“Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding. Who determined its measurements—surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it?  On what were its bases sunk, or who laid its cornerstone, when the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy? Job 38:4-7.

These are the unanswerable questions God asked Job. Even today, we still have no answers. All we can do is ‘sing praises to the Lord,’ for He is Great!

Sing praises to the Lord, for He has done gloriously; let this be made known in all the earth. Shout, and sing for joy, O inhabitant of Zion, for great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel. Isaiah 12:5-6.
