This shows that the Son is far greater than the angels, just as the name God gave him is greater than their names. For God never said to any angel what he said to Jesus, “You are my Son. Today I have become your Father.” God also said, “I will be his Father, and he will be my Son.” And when he brought his supreme Son into the world, God said, “Let all of God’s angels worship him.” Hebrews 1:4-6So many songs carry the lyrics such as this — Jesus is the sweetest name I know….to the lyrics we sang yesterday in worship….Our God is greater, our God is stronger, God you are higher than any other.  Our God is Healer, Awesome in Power, Our God! Our God!Our God, Higher than any Other, calls Jesus His Son and Angels are called to worship Him.  Saying Jesus is calming from the act of voicing His Name to the recognition by our hearts of His Greatness.  His Name is prayer, His Name is worship, His Name is recognition of His Holiness.  No wonder Acts 4:12 says – There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.How often we see the picture of a child holding the hand of her parent.  There is no doubt that she belongs.  This is the picture of each of us — we belong to God.  When we let go of God’s hand, we are lost.  We succumb to the spirit of the world when we let go of His Hand.  Victory is ours when we choose God and acquiesce to Him.Belonging to Jesus is never being too old to sing….Yes, Jesus loves me, Yes, Jesus loves me, Yes, Jesus loves me.  The Bible tells me so!But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. I John 4:4
