January 11, 2015 – Psalm 145:13
For your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. You rule throughout all generations. The Lord always keeps his promises; he is gracious in all he does. Psalm 145:13The Lord always keeps his promises! How many promises I have made to myself and others that I have broken. Too many to remember. Yet, when The Lord makes a promise is is for always and always – true. Why is that? Primarily because He is Lord, the God Almighty. When you read His Word — you find that he made many promises to the Children of Israel, to Abraham, to Jacob, to Moses, and countless others. Did God ever take back his promises to anyone? Never! He is true and just and righteous. And forgiving. He is the Beginning and the End, the Alpha and the Omega. All of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding ‘YES!’ Yes, Lord Jesus, we choose you. Yes, Lord Jesus, You are God’s One and Only Son, there is no other way that we can be saved from a final death. Yes, Lord Jesus, You are the Light that keeps me from stumbling. Yes, Lord Jesus, You are my Shepherd who protects and guides and leads me. Yes, Lord Jesus, You are the my Forever.A young boy of eight who just lost his uncle in death, said it best…”Yes, I know my Uncle is in Heaven with Jesus, and now we all wait to see him there. I’ll have to wait the longest to see my Uncle.” Amen! Yes. Through Christ Jesus, our Amen ascends to God for his glory.Believing and trusting in Jesus alone, brings comfort to others, and we know where our loved ones go in death. Choose this day whom you will serve!!!For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory. 2 Corinthians 1:20
