December 8, 2015 – I John 2:9

Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness. I John 2:9Have you ever wondered why you like a little light on when you are going to sleep?  It is because you feel safer, right?  That is what light does for us.  Jesus said, I am the light and the way…Love and Light are the same.  In darkness we stumble and fall because there is no light.  When we do not love our brother, then we are in darkness.Do you love your brother or sister?  Now, I wonder, who is your brother and sister? Honor your father and mother, and, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.  Matthew 19:19.  Love your neighbor, love your enemy, love your brother.  Jesus wants us to love everyone.  Even when they hurt us.  If you flip the ‘love coin’ upside down, you will see the other side says, ‘forgive’.If you want to abide, or live in the light of Jesus, you won’t stumble or cause others to stumble and fall.  Jesus is the light and lights our way through the darkness of the world all around us.Light or dark.  This is our choice.  Jesus or evil, this is our choice.  No one else can love us and forgive us and light our way like Jesus.  There is much truth in the song, Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so.  Little ones to Him belong, I am weak and He is strong….Yes!  Choose Jesus and keep your light on!Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling. I John 2:10
