October 28, 2019 – Romans 12:1-2

I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:1-2.

What way of life do we treasure more than any other in this world? When we treasure obedience and holiness living, we live for eternity.  It isn’t possible to live a holy life unless we purpose to do so. It is only through the Grace of Jesus Christ is this possible.

As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance,  but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct,  since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” I Peter 1:14-16.

How can we live in a holy way?  Love others with brotherly affection, Hold to what is good,  Honor others, Serve the Lord, be patient in tribulation, praying constantly Give to those who need and show hospitality.  Never give up in being fervent…or Let your spirit be on fire, bubbling up and boiling over, as you serve the Lord. The Voice.

Eternity outlasts the world.  What we find here is temporary. Turn away from evil and do good! Psalm 34:14a.

Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality. Romans 12:9-13.
