July 2, 2019 – Psalm 149:3-4
Praise His name with dancing, accompanied by tambourine and harp. For the Lord delights in his people; He crowns the humble with victory. Psalm 149:3-4.
How can I keep from singing about the Love of my Lord, the One who delights in His People? There is no one like my Lord who crowns the humble with the final victory!
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11.
Not only are we to delight in our Lord God, but when we do so, He, the most High God, delights in us. One of the most difficult things to do is “Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalm 27:14.
When we try to move ahead of the One who created Heaven and Earth, we assume authority we do not have. We cannot control others’ responses to life, only ourselves. God honors the faithful follower. The one who despite all odds remains true to His Father in Heaven by reflecting His love for others and singing praise to Him.
What is wisdom? But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. James 3:17.
The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust Him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving. Psalm 28:7.
Let the faithful rejoice that He honors them. Let them sing for joy as they lie on their beds. Psalm 149:5.
