September 29, 2017 – Psalm 31:19

Psalm 31:19 – How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. You lavish it on those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world.

Goodness, the gift of the Holy Spirit, comes from God.  How does this gift show itself? How do we know when we are enjoying this gift of Goodness from God?  This Goodness cannot be bought or worn for a time.  Goodness is our blessing of protection from God Himself.

Where do we find this protection against evil?  God hides us in the shelter of His Presence.  “Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.” Psalm 46:10.

The poor will eat and be satisfied. All who seek the Lord will praise him.
 Their hearts will rejoice with everlasting joy.  Psalm 22:26.

Our Lord shelters us in His Presence, where we find Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control.

Hate, Anger, Impatience, and Evil Behavior is not found in the Presence of God.  I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13.

Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.  Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Colossians 3:12-13.

Psalm 31:20 – You hide them in the shelter of your presence, safe from those who conspire against them. You shelter them in your presence, far from accusing tongues.
