June 21, 2017 – Psalm 27:11-12

Teach me how to live, O Lord. Lead me along the right path, for my enemies are waiting for me. Do not let me fall into their hands. For they accuse me of things I’ve never done; with every breath they threaten me with violence. Psalm 27:11-12.

It isn’t important what others think of you, the only one Who counts is God and what He thinks of you.  How we live and the choices we make in following Him on the right path counts!

Apostle Paul says, in 2 Corinthians 6:9-10, what living on the right path is. We are ignored, even though we are well known. We live close to death, but we are still alive. We have been beaten, but we have not been killed.  Our hearts ache, but we always have joy. We are poor, but we give spiritual riches to others. We own nothing, and yet we have everything.

Goodness brings true joy, and true joy with hope comes when our sins are forgiven.  Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sins are put out of sight. Yes, what joy for those whose record the Lord has cleared of sin.” Romans 4:7-8.

The evidence of the Lord’s goodness we will see in the land of living is visible to those who know the Lord.  What evidence do I see?  Because of Jesus Christ’s resurrection, I see answers to prayers and encouragement from brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ.  Peace, kindness, and gentleness coming from heart to heart spells joy in Jesus. Love and Forgiveness walk hand in hand in the land of the living.

Joyful are people of integrity, who follow the instructions of the Lord.  Joyful are those who obey his laws and search for him with all their hearts. Psalm 119:1-2.  Goodness begets Joy!

Yet I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living. Psalm 27:13.
