December 8, 2016 – Genesis 6:9
This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, the only blameless person living on earth at the time, and he walked in close fellowship with God. Genesis 6:9Genesis 6 holds a true, once upon a time story. Noah had a ‘God Adventure’. Why? He was a righteous man. Noah was the only righteous man alive in that time in all the earth. He didn’t do what everyone else did, Noah did everything just as God commanded him to do.God gave exact details in order save Noah and his family. God told him to use cypress wood and waterproof with tar. Then God told him to exactly 450 feet long, 75 feet wide and 45 feet high. God told Noah that He would cover the earth with water and to fill the Ark with his family, Ham, Shem and Japeth, and his wife. God didn’t forget the animals He had created. Bring a male and a female of every kind of animal aboard the Ark. God told him to bring enough food on board to feed the animals and his family for a time. When God asks us to do something, know this, He helps us do it. He helps us do exactly what He commands. Did Noah ask where the wood was, how to build the Ark, or where the tar was located? How was he to find all the animals? Did he hit his fingers with the wooden mallet? Did he get tired of building the Ark day after day, stick by stick? Did those who lived near him make fun of Noah building a boat on dry land?In Williamstown, KY, an ark was built with the same measurements as God gave Noah so we can see with our own eyes the huge size of the Ark. What can we accomplish if we follow Noah’s example and do everything exactly as God has commanded us? He replied, “What is impossible for people is possible with God.” Luke 18:27. Follow God’s plan, not man’s!So Noah did everything exactly as God had commanded him. Genesis 6:22
