September 4, 2015 – Ephesians 1:3-4

Ephesians1-2-3All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. Ephesians 1:3-4To be chosen is a wondrous feeling.  Our greatest desire is to be wanted and to belong.  To be chosen before we are born by our steadfast Lord is the ultimate.  For He gives us every spiritual blessing.  With the spiritual blessings from Him, we can make it through our lifetime journey here on earth. To receive these blessings of Grace, Mercy and Peace — we must choose Him.  Do you remember the stilted handwriting on the note we received in the second grade?  “Do you like me?  I like you!”  Choosing is a reciprocal action. From the depths of despair, hurt and loneliness, we cry out, “God the Father, Do you love me?  Can You love me?”  God the Father and his Son, Jesus Christ fling out their arms to measure an infinity of space and time, “Continue to be with us and live in truth and love!  We love you this much!”  And the shadow of the cross appears.  For Jesus died on the cross to show us how much He loves.  God gave His only begotten Son, to die on the cross and raised Him from the dead.God and His Son choose you, Who do you choose to live for, in truth and love?Grace, mercy, and peace, which come from God the Father and from Jesus Christ—the Son of the Father—will continue to be with us who live in truth and love. 2 John 2:3
