Romans13-12bLove does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Romans 13:10-12Love vs Hate; Life vs Death; Joy vs Sad.  So many opposing thoughts, behaviors and attitudes.  It was always amazing to me, in a classroom to see a discussion of right and left brain.  Even the youngest child chose ‘right’.  The connotation of the word ‘left’ means being left behind.  Lost.  A child understands the Left as being Wrong, as in Right and Wrong.Reading the ‘times’ is daunting.  Reading is not as not as important as being prepared and trusting God.  The opposite meaning of darkness and light gives us another opposite.  A lost and found opposite.  I often wonder at man’s desire to not be lost is more prominent that being found.  Being found leads to making a decision and committing to that decision.  Not ‘waffling’.  The ‘armor’ of light infers exertion, for armor is heavy and will require commitment.A ‘life-nap’ is not possible while being alert and praying.  A shield of faithfulness can extinguish the flaming arrows from the evil one that comes from the dark.  Sameness in our lives can lead to a deadening of the spirit.  Refreshment and renewal can only be found in the Word of God.  Praying for all the Lord’s people….leads to loving them all.  Our enemies in the ‘darkness’ are not flesh and blood, but the evil one.In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.  And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Ephesians 6:16-18.
