September 28, 2020 – Psalm 8:1-3

O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens. Out of the mouth of babies and infants, You have established strength because of your foes, to still the enemy and the avenger. When I look at your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have set in place. Psalm 8:1-3.

It’s Your breath in our lungs, So we pour out our praise
We pour out our praise, It’s Your breath in our lungs
So we pour out our praise to You only. Great Are You Lord. (Leonard/Ingram/Jordan)
Singing these lyrics gives pause how integral God is to our lives.  Is it any wonder His children praise Him. His plan is redemption, providing life, comfort, with peace and joy, when we live for Him.

He saved Noah and his family from the flood, he shut the mouth of lions to protect Daniel; He opened a path in the Sea to provide escape from Egyptian warriors.  Then God sent his Son to earth as a baby to teach love and died on the cross to pay for our sins.

Dear Merciful God, help us to love and obey You, and hold fast to Your righteousness. In You, and your Son Jesus, is Life. We praise you.  In the Name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. The Lord is good to all,
and His mercy is over all that He has made. All your works shall give thanks to you, O Lord, and all your saints shall bless you!  Psalm 145:8-10.

What is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings. Psalm 8:4-5.
