September 2, 2021 – Psalm 92:12-13
The righteous flourish like the palm tree and grow like a cedar in Lebanon. They are planted in the house of the Lord; they flourish in the courts of our God. Psalm 92:12-13.
Flourish means to grow and produce even more so, as a tree grows older. When our delight is in the law of the Lord, and we meditate day and night on His Word, we are like a tree planted by streams of water. (Psalm 1:3).
When we have roots in a church family, worshiping Jesus, we flourish in His Presence. We learn to love others, believe, and trust in His Word.
O Lord, our God, It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing raises to your name, O Most High; to declare your steadfast love in the morning, and your faithfulness by night, to the music of the lute and the harp, to the melody of the lyre. (Psalm 92:1-3). What a joy to know God is my Rock. Help me to love like Jesus loves, I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
God’s steadfast love is clear in these two verses. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him.” John 3:16-17.
Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit… Philippians 1:27a.
They still bear fruit in old age; they are ever full of sap and green, to declare that the Lord is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him. Psalm 92:14-15.
