September 2, 2016 – Psalm 145:8-9

Your awe-inspiring deeds will be on every tongue; I will proclaim your greatness. Everyone will share the story of your wonderful goodness; they will sing with joy about your righteousness. Psalm 145:6-7When was the last time you contemplated the awe-inspiring deeds of our Lord God? Those listed in His Word and those deeds that show He leads our lives? There are some of us that simply discount these deeds as fabrications of some man. They have been blinded.There has been the refusal to believe since Adam and Eve, when they wanted to be equal to God in knowledge and gave in to temptation. Yet, God gives us a gift of eternal salvation. God took the initiative to save our sins and sent Jesus Christ, His Son. That should top every list. Jesus taught us how to pray, how to forgive, how to love and live with compassion. More importantly, Jesus has the power to save us from the wickedness that festers in our hearts and lives.Who is this Lord God who sent us the gift of salvation through Jesus His Son? He is merciful, compassionate, slow to get angry and is filled with unfailing love. He exudes the kind of love that gives freedom to love, for God is love!Our Lord God helps us to remember Him with nudges through the Holy Spirit. I am thankful for the nudges and changes that remind me how life-changing He is. He prepares me for an eternity of peace and joy.

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” John 14:6. Thank you, Lord God, for the gift of Life and Love through Jesus!

The Lord is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. The Lord is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation. Psalm 145:8-9
