Be completely humble and gentle, be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. Ephesians 4:2-3How awesome! Reading these two verses in Ephesians centers my world and my life. When my dear husband asked my name this morning, deep in the throes of confusion, I remember.I remember that Jesus loves me and I belong to Him. And in Him, I find peace enough for both of us. Just as the world has its twists and turns, I can be patient and loving. And forgiving, for the love that is ours in Christ Jesus I can extend to others. His sacrificial love holds me steady. Being joyful in hope, patient and faithful in prayer brings me to the foot of the cross. There is a forever where we are bound. A forever where our minds are clear and the ravages of age and disease disappear. A forever with Jesus where ugliness, chaos and turmoil are no more. Where rejoicing, praise and worship are forever more. No guilt, no shame, no heavy hearts.Forever where sharing and transparency are sweet. Come quickly, Lord Jesus.Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Romans 12:11-13
