Reflections on “Your Word Is a Light!” 7/2/24
Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path, I have sworn an oath and confirmed it, to keep your righteous rules. Psalms 119:105-106.
What path do we travel in our lives? What will bring our journey a path filled with peace? “You have made known to me the paths of life; You will make me full of gladness with Your Presence!” Acts 3:28.
How sweet are Your Words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through your precepts I get; therefore, and understanding I hate every false way. Psalm 119:103-104.
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore, do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. Matthew 6:33-34.
We find many forks in the road when we need to look for the Light of Jesus Christ. How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through your precepts I get understanding; therefore, I hate every false way. Psalm 119:103-104.
God teaches through His Word! Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! Oh, fear the Lord, you, His saints, for those who fear Him have no lack! Psalm 34:8-9.
It is through His Word we learn that Jesus shows us the truth how to have a more abundant life, by following His Way. Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know Him and have seen Him.” John 14:6-7.
Forever, O Lord, Your Word is firmly fixed in the heavens. Your faithfulness endures to all generations; You have established the earth, and it stands fast. Psalm 119:89-90.
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Genesis 1:1-2, He created us after His own Image.
Praising God for His goodness and constant love is something that never ends. My lips will pour forth praise, for you teach me your statutes. My tongue will sing of your word for all your commandments are right. Let your hand be ready to help me, for I have chosen your precepts. I long for your salvation, O Lord, and your law is my delight. Psalm 119:171-174.
Praise the Lord, all nations! Extol Him, all peoples! For great is His steadfast love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord! Psalm 117:1-2.
Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His steadfast love endures forever! Let Israel say, “His steadfast love endures forever. Let the house of Aaron say, “His steadfast love endures forever. Let those who fear the Lord, “His steadfast love endures forever.” Psalm 118:1-4.

Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness.
Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:3-4.
What is delightful to you, is it Peace, Joy, or Faithfulness? Is it what the world offers or what God teaches? Always choosing God’s Way and God’s truth.
Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints, for those who fear Him have no lack! Psalm 45:8-9.
Righteous are you, O Lord, right are your rules. You have appointed your testimonies in righteousness and in all faithfulness. Psalm 119:137-138.
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before you. Psalm 89:14.
With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from your commandments! I have stored up Your Heart in my heart, that I might not sin against you. Psalm 85:10-11
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore. I will hope in Him.” Lamentation 3:22-24.
Great peace has those who love your law; nothing can make them stumble. I hope for your salvation. O Lord. And I do your commandments. Psalm 119:165-166.
Therefore, I will meditate day and night. Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my soul! I will praise the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. Psalm 146:1-2.
