Reflections on “Love One Another!” June 11, 2024

Jesus answered, The most important is, ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.  And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” Mark12:29-31.

As we grow in our faith, we wonder how to believe, how to trust, and how to really love, and then I read this brief scripture: Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2.

God’s Good News is Redemption through Jesus Christ, His One and Only Son. This is true because Jesus reflected the love His Father has for us. Oh, that we might reflect the Love of Jesus with His desires and His will.

When we see the others with our hearts and nothing else, comes from this verse: But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” I Samuel 16:7.

Love spells a relationship and grows with meeting together and sharing. God is the One who teaches Love. First, He created a place, the Heaven and Earth, and everything in it. Then our God gave us the supreme blessing in Genesis 1:27.

So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him, male and female He created them.  In His Image, He created us. We immediately want to see a body, but He is a Spirit. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. John 4:24.

While growing up, I read a book called What Would Jesus Do? WWJD. Throughout life, this became my constant question. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and His love is perfected in us. I John 4:11-12.

To Love One Another is the only way we can respond to the anguish and death Jesus endured on the cross as a sacrifice to make our way for God’s Redemption as He arose from the grave.

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. I John 4:7-8. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. 1 John 5:3.

How do we Love? And He said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:37-39.

Nowhere is there a certificate hanging on the wall, or a book to sign, but it is loving with heart, soul, and mind. No one can see these parts of each of us. What does God require of us? He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8.

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this, all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. John 13:34-35.

Glorify our God Almighty each moment I Corinthians 10:31. So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. I could only do exercises then in rehab. So I glorified God!

Then I read this, Be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ. Ephesians 5:19-21.

Do we want to be new and find newness? Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 2 Corinthians 5:17.

Oh, sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth! Sing to the Lord, bless His name; and tell of His salvation from day to day. Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous works among all the peoples! Psalm 96:1-3.

Teach me your way, O Lord, that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear Your name. I give thanks to You, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify Your name forever. Psalm 86:11-12.

What way is God’s way? Jesus tells us: Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also.” John 14:6-7.

Have you seen anything, in this world besides the wonder of what Loving Others can reveal? But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”— these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. I Corinthians 2:9-10.

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this, all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35.
