Reflections on “Let Us Come Into His Presence!” Psalm 95:1-2. November 26, 2024

O come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Let us come into His presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to Him with songs of praise! Psalm 95:1-2.

How can we say it, and to Whom?  Does ‘thank you?’ suffice? How do we please each one?

Do we forget to thank the One who gives us life? For it was You who formed my inward parts; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; that I know very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Psalm 139:13-15.

In the beginning. So God created humans in His image, in the image of God He created them; male and female, He created them. Genesis 1:27.

How can we thank our Lord God? Finally, all of you have unity of spirit, sympathy, love for one another, a tender heart, and a humble mind. Do not repay evil for evil or abuse for abuse, but, on the contrary, repay with a blessing. It is for this that you were called—that you might inherit a blessing. For “Those who desire to love life and to see good days, let them keep their tongues from evil and their lips from speaking deceit.” I Peter 3:8-10.

Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. Colossians 3:13.

The Holy Spirit speaks in Galatians 5:22-23, of receiving from God the Fruit – Love, Joy, and Peace. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things, there is no law.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved. Ephesians 1:3-6.

Sending a Blessing to someone is a Heavenly Thank You and Praise. It is a way to encourage someone in their walk with our Lord.

To everything, there is a beginning and an ending. ‘See, I am coming soon; my reward is with me, to repay according to everyone’s work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.’  Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they will have the right to the Tree of Life and may enter the city by the gates.’  Genesis and Revelation. Revelation 22:12-24.

At this time, we give thanks–do we forget the One who created us? The Psalms are filled with the wonder of Worship and Praise!  Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and shield. Our heart is glad in Him because we trust in His holy name. Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in You. Psalm 33:20-22.

O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His steadfast love endures forever!  Psalm 118:1.

Protect me, O God, for in you I take refuge. I say to the Lord, ‘You are my Lord; I have no good apart from You.’ Psalm 16:1-2.
