Reflection on “God’s Blessings!” April 15, 2025

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.  Ephesians 1:3-6.

We have been chosen before the foundation of the world was made for God’s mercy and spiritual blessings. What thoughts should be in our hearts and minds so that we receive spiritual gifts? When we realize our Lord God created us in His Image, we begin to understand the greatness of God. So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female, He created them. Genesis 1:27. He created us for a purpose, that is why the Holy Spirit came.

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:8-9. What is the promise? Our Lord God will be with us.

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. Peace, I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27-27.

The fruit of the Holy Spirit – But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.  Peace, I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Galatians 5:22-23.

But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.” I Peter 1:15-16.

What does Blessing mean in Greek? Euology, or speak well of. In Ephesians 1:4-13, we have some the blessings when we belong to Jesus Christ.

He chose us before the foundation of the World, that we should be holy and with blame before Him in Love. Ephesians 1:4. God chose to extend His grace to us and offer us salvation before sin entered the world.

He gave us the right to become children of God. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:12-13.

We are accepted because of the death of Jesus dying on the cross, which takes away our sins. Ephesians 1:6. To the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.

Have you thought about the blessing of inheritance? “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” I Corinthians 2:9.

We are ambassadors when we bring the message of reconciliation to a foreign land’s people. 2 Corinthians 3:9.

We have the assurance that nothing shall separate us from God. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39.

Peace is difficult to find, and yet Philippians 4:6-7. Tells us, Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

For I delivered to you, first of all, that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. I Corinthians 15:3-4.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13.
