October 21, 2020 – Psalm 105:1-4

Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples! Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; tell of all His wondrous works! Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice! Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His presence continually! Psalm 105:1-4.

The praise song, Great Are You, Lord, captures this Psalm. It’s Your breath in our lungs, So we pour out our praise. You give life, You are Love, You bring light to the darkness, You give hope, You restore.

We begin with thanks, call on His Name, and share His story. We glory and rejoice in His Holy Name.  The beginning of real Joy is  seeking the Lord Almighty. Our dawn begins with praise for His Goodness, we bask in His glory.

When we seek rest in the evening, In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. Psalm 4:8.

Our Father God, You have chosen us as your children before the foundation of world. May we seek your Presence night and day and share Your wondrous works with our every thought, word, and action. We pray in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Our Lord God made a covenant with Abraham and his son, Isaac. He protected  Jacob, protects His anointed ones. Jacob’s son Joseph was sold as a slave, and became the lord of the king and protected His chosen ones from a famine. He chose Moses to release his chosen ones from slavery in Egypt. He is the Lord of our Redemption.

Remember the wondrous works that He has done, His miracles, and the judgments He uttered, O offspring of Abraham, His servant, children of Jacob, His chosen ones! He is the Lord our God; His judgments are in all the earth. Psalm 105:5-7.
