October 13:2015 – Colossians 3:14-16
And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Colossians 3:14-16Peace of Christ – what is peace? Do you know? Is it the stopping of a war? No, it comes from loving Jesus first — and choosing to love others. Jesus loved us first….and we need to follow his example. How often during the day do you thank God — for the little things? Jesus loves children and He loves Moms and Dads. Have you thanked God for your Dad and Mom? Do it right now…not a lot of words or special words. Jesus just wants to hear from us.How many Bible verses do you know? Do you just say them, or do you know what they mean? Ask God to help you understand. No matter how old you are, the memory verses you memorize from the Bible now will stay in your heart and mind. And each one has a new meaning for you as the years go by. What is my favorite? Psalm 121:1-2 –I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.Live in complete harmony…like a beautiful song with four parts that blend so beautifully. Then you can live together and praise God with joy. This is what Jesus wants. Make beautiful music together!May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus. Then all of you can join together with one voice, giving praise and glory to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 15:5-6
