October 12, 2018 – Psalm 16:7-8

I will bless the Lord who guides me; even at night my heart instructs me. I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for He is right beside me. Psalm 16:7-8

Each day, I know You walk beside me.  Your Word brings me Your nearness.  Your creation tells me of Your Presence.  Your now-ness is first in my heart. Nothing can shake me from believing in You.  

Even at night, You will not let me fear for the next tomorrow.  King David’s words fill me with awe!  Your Servant, David, uttered Your praises.  The lyrics of a song comes to me, I can’t help singing your praise.  

My heart jumps with joy and gladness for Your everlasting Love.  For your Forgiveness, and for never, ever giving up on me.  You encourage me and give me Hope and Peace.  You, O, Lord, are my Shepherd, I shall not want, for You are right beside me, all the Way.

Your promises are sure. Then I read in Philippians 2:9-11 – Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,  in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.  

Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth! Worship the Lord with gladness.
 Come before him, singing with joy. Acknowledge that the Lord is God!
He made us, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Psalm 100:1-3.

King David said this about Him: ‘I see that the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for He is right beside me. No wonder my heart is glad, and my tongue shouts His praises! My body rests in hope. Psalm 16: 9-10.
