Psalm23-5-6You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23:5-6The word pursue intrigues me.  The word in Hebrew is dabaq, meaning cleave, follow hard, overtake, stick, keep fast, together, abide, close, joined.  God’s Love pursues me, has a new meaning and understanding as I see what the Hebrew word means.  There is no place I can hide from God if I wanted to hide.  What a blessing.  He is my all in all, my Creator and Redeemer.  His glory surrounds me, as I wait for his second coming to this earth.I want to be ready for Him.  II Timothy gives me goals to pursue — righteous living, faithfulness, love and peace.  Enjoying those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.  Use me, Master, for every good work.  When I see something that stimulates lusts from yesterday, I run back to the You.  This is active, this is on-going, day by day, my pursuit of God.Dear Lord God, Help me keep my eyes on You, when Satan tries to entice me to follow Him.  He uses mirrors and trickery to turn me against you, Lord.  Please, know that I love you, and want you to pursue me until I am Home with You.  In Jesus’ Name,  AmenIf you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work. Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts. II Timothy 2:21-22
