November 4, 2021 – Ephesians 1:4-5
He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us for adoption to Himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of His will. Ephesians 1:4-5.
God had each of us in mind before He created anything. That makes us chosen and first in God’s thinking. He chose us for a purpose – to be holy and blameless before us. Chose us to be adopted as sons through Jesus Christ for our redemption from sin.
How often the Old Testament teaches us about His redeeming love in the lives of Noah, Daniel, Abraham, and more listed in the chapter of faith, Hebrews 11. And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him. Hebrews 11:6.
What is redemption? Forgiveness of our sins, and the riches of His Saving Grace. God sent Jesus to teach us the mysteries of His will.
Oh Lord our God, You alone are mighty enough to love me and forgive me. You have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle.
Are they not in your book? (Psalm 56:8). Teach me to love others, and give You my thoughts and praise only. In the Name of Jesus, your Son, Amen.
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort. 2 Corinthians 1:2-3.
In Him, we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace, which He lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of His will, according to His purpose, which He set forth in Christ. Ephesians 1:7-9.
