Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father. Colossians 3:16-17We search for wisdom in all the wrong places in this world, oblivious to the riches we find in God’s Word — the message of love in Christ Jesus. There we find wisdom on the how and why and what brings us peace. This wisdom and peace gives birth to a melody of joy and thanksgiving that permeates our hearts.Let whatever we say and do have Jesus Christ written all over it with all thanksgiving.Faith is like a tree with roots that stretch downward to the Rock of Truth, Jesus Christ. He waters and nourishes our faith! Giving thanks is not just a thank you card with trite words. We do not understand the depth of thanksgiving until we give true thanks to our Lord by accepting Him and following Him. Then our hearts will overflow with true thankfulness and our faith grows like a mighty oak that withstands the storms of life.Dear Lord, Words can never express the deep joy that is mine since I let you shape my life, until I put my whole life in your hands, trusting you. In this season of Thanksgiving, may it be more and more my joy. As we celebrate the act of harvest in fullness of time, we remember our families. Our joy is made complete when they share in the goodness of your love. Unite us all in Jesus’ Name. We love you, In Jesus’ Name, Amen. And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. Colossians 2:6-7
