November 22, 2019 – Colossians 2:4-7

I say this in order that no one may delude you with plausible arguments. For though I am absent in body, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the firmness of your faith in Christ. Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. Colossians 2:4-7.

Though we can not see our Lord God, we know that all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are concealed in Him. No one can dispute the power of the wind though it is not visible.  And God created the wind, and God Himself has power over the wind.

The disciples, fearing for their lives when the wind raced the boat, awakened Jesus. And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.  And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. Mark 4:39.

Jesus asked, “Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?” Mark 4:40. When we walk with the Lord and believe in Him, thanksgiving will spill over each day of our lives.

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. Psalm 1:1-2

See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ. For in Him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have been filled in Him, who is the head of all rule and authority. Colossians 2:8-10.
