May 9, 2018 – I Corinthians 15:57
But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ. I Corinthians 15:57.
Whenever in doubt what to say to our Father in Heaven, simply say ‘Thank you, Lord God!” This morning, I looked out at the vista from my deck window and saw pink petals falling from the flowering tree. “Thank you, Lord, for the ‘rain of petals!'”
More than just what I see with physical sight, I see through my heart. Praise God for sending Jesus, His ultimate Gift, of forgiveness, from sin. More than just forgiveness — He gives victory over sin and death!
Death brushes our lives one time or many times during our lifetime. When we walk with Jesus, holding his hand, death is simply a door to enter into eternity. Fear is absent when we love our Lord Jesus Christ with all of our heart and mind.
God has given us work to accomplish on this earth. Be strong in the Lord, work with enthusiasm for Him. Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.” Matthew 17:20.
In Micah 6:8, God tells us what He desires we do. O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless. I Corinthians 15:58.
