May 27, 2016 – Psalm 136:23-24

He remembered us in our weakness. His faithful love endures forever. He saved us from our enemies. His faithful love endures forever. Psalm 136:23-24For the past week, we have etched on our heart that God’s faithful love endures forever.  The lyrics of this song came to mind early this morning: How can I say thanks for the things, You have done for me, so undeserved, yet You gave to me…(Andrae Crouch).  And quickly the words of a hymn from long ago followed …Why should He love me so? Why should my Savior to Calvary go?  Why should He love me so?And in loving us, His love equals sacrifice as Jesus went to the old rugged cross in our stead so that our willful sins and our sins of omission can be forgiven and God can see us pure and undefiled.God sees to our every need, the food of every living thing physically and the spiritual food that enables us to love like He does.  We cannot hide our heart’s innermost secrets from God.  He knows us.  There is not a time when we can put our best foot forward for God.  He knows when our foot is in our mouth and when we stumble in our lives.  His language is Love.As a child, I sang, “Jesus Loves me, this I know, For the Bible tells me so.  Little ones to Him belong, But He is Strong, Yes, Jesus Loves Me!” (A. Warner).  As true now, as it was 80 years ago and beyond.  And my understanding of His Great Love ever grows deeper as the years go by.His Faithful Love endures forever and ever.  Give thanks to the God of Heaven for giving our lives meaning through His Great and continuing Love.  God doesn’t live in a time crunch, because His faithful love endures forever.  Give thanks to the Forever God and His Forever Love through the ages.He gives food to every living thing. His faithful love endures forever. Give thanks to the God of heaven. His faithful love endures forever. Psalm 136:25-26
