May 19, 2020 – Ephesians 2:10
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10.
We are re-created in Jesus, when we choose to walk with Him and receive the gift of salvation. In this re-creation, we have works to do, helping and encouraging others, and doing good works.
We find peace in a fractured world through Christ Jesus. We become fellow citizens with the household of God with Jesus as the cornerstone. The apostles and prophets are the foundation of this glorious gift of grace. Together we become a holy temple that becomes a dwelling place for God.
The good works are not the cause of our salvation, but they show the presence of salvation in our hearts. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock. Isaiah 26:4.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame, But wholly lean on Jesus’ name
So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In Him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit. Ephesians 2:19-22.
