March 31, 2017 – Hebrews 13:8-9
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. So do not be attracted by strange, new ideas. Your strength comes from God’s grace, not from rules about food, which don’t help those who follow them. Hebrews 13:8-9
In this day and age, change is inevitable. Just as we think we understand our world, it flip-flops into the unknown abyss of confusion again. We are attracted to man’s answers for peace and stability. Every new idea man devises ricochets into nothingness.
Where is the steadfast faithfulness we search for? Our strength comes from the Lord God Himself and through His amazing Grace. The loving Grace that raised our Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us from the dead by the great Shepherd, Jesus Christ.
It is through the power of Jesus Christ, good is produced in us that is pleasing to Him. It is not our will that matters, it is His Will. Because God created us. These are His rules we live by. He sent Jesus to equip us to be pleasing – not for ourselves – but for Him.
No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:44
So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. Ephesians 1:6-7
Now may the God of peace— who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, and ratified an eternal covenant with his blood—may he equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to him. All glory to him forever and ever! Amen. Hebrews 13:20-21
