March 1, 2021 – I Peter 4:10-11

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To Him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. I Peter 4:10-11.

God’s faithful love is ours when we believe and trust Him.  Why are we given gifts?  Not for our glory but to give us ways to love others. “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.”  John 13:34.

Oh, God loves us so much, He sent Jesus to earth to show us how to love and serve others. “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”  John 13:35.

We are nothing without our God.  Even the breath in our lungs comes from our Lord God. Then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.  Genesis 2:7.

O Lord our God, help us to humble ourselves  and use our gifts you have given us to serve others in Your Name, and give You our praise and adoration.  We are nothing without You.  In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.

Glory to God in the highest,  and on earth peace among those with whom He is pleased!” Luke 2:14.

Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”  Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time He may exalt you. I Peter 5:5-6.
