Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds!
Your enemies cringe before your mighty power.
Everything on earth will worship you;
they will sing your praises,
shouting your name in glorious songs.”
Psalm 66:3-4One hour until I leave for church to sing and to praise God for His everlasting goodness. There is not a moment that goes by when I think about His great love. I am drawn into the house of the Lord…with my brothers and sisters in Christ. We sing, we fellowship with one another, we pray together, always knowing it is in His name. People gathere together because of Jesus and his sacrifice of love for our sins.Then I remember my Dad and Mom, my grandparents, and families back so many generations suffering in order to worship God. They worshiped with their hearts and their minds and made a path of faithfulness — footsteps that lead to everlasting life.In Grandmother Suderman’s Journal, she prayed that all her children will join her in heaven, one by one. This was Grandma Daisy’s prayer, and now it is my prayer as well. I survey the rich inheritance of our children and their children, and pray for each to know, to worship, the One and Only Jesus.The grass is greener, the flowers more exuberant, the birds’ songs more lively, when we worship Jesus. The smiles on people’s faces bring joy and love and peace when we look on each other as Jesus sees us. We are all His children, and I pray that we recognize and worship Him as the Giver of All. Our joys, our sorrows, the thorns in our path are all blessings because God is bringing us to our Home with Him. Praise the Lord!
