June 15, 2015 – Romans 15:5-7
May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus. Then all of you can join together with one voice, giving praise and glory to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory. Romans 15:5-7Again and again we read the foundation of Who God is — Love. Love that is steadfast and faithful. Love that provides a way to live in peace and joy in a world where relationships can erupt at any moment into angry for any reason. Our relationship with our Lord never changes. When we love with the same love that God loves us – our love becomes one voice with His. The interpretation of our relationship is encouragement and acceptance of one another. With one voice we raise our praise to God our Father. The secret of living in harmony is giving glory to the Lord God Jehovah. The promise that God gave the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob long ago is ours as well. How? Through the blood of Jesus Christ we are adopted children of Abraham. The promise is there in His Word — I would no more reject my people than change my laws that govern night and day, earth and sky.The rejection we give others or they give us is no more when God accepts and loves us, unconditionally He loves. This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you. There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. John 15:12-14
