June 14, 2019 – Psalm:6-7

Blessed be the Lord! For He has heard the voice of my pleas for mercy. The Lord is my strength and my shield; in Him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song, I give thanks to Him. Psalm 28:6-7.

Our Lord bends down, inclines His Ear. He listens to us. He hears our pleas for mercy.  In the power of God in Jesus calmed the storm of the sea. He rescued the Children of Israel by making a pathway through the Red Sea.  He protected Daniel against the ferocious lions.

He is my strength and my shield, and I know Him and believe! Even more, I trust He delivers me from evil. He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure.  Psalm 40:2.

His greatness and faithfulness creates an ever new song of deliverance in my heart. Day and Night, He is my Refuge and Shepherd. Oh, how I trust You and turn my heart to hear your Words.

Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust, who does not turn to the proud, to those who go astray after a lie! You have multiplied, O Lord my God, your wondrous deeds and your thoughts toward us; none can compare with You! I will proclaim and tell of them, yet they are more than can be told. Psalm 40:4-5.

There is none I desire more than You, Oh, Lord! “I delight to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart.” Psalm 40:8.

The Lord is the strength of his people; He is the saving refuge of His anointed. Oh, save your people and bless your heritage! Be their Shepherd and carry them forever. Psalm 28:8-9.
