June 13, 2015 – Psalm 18:30-31

Psalm18-30-31God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. For who is God except the Lord? Who but our God is a solid rock? Psalm 18:30-31Perfection – that is what we all strive for, at least our version of perfection.  However, we always fall short of that illusive ideal, for only God is perfect.  Yet we spend our lives trying to climb mountains, attain heights on the corporate ladder, or become Number One in a myriad of races and trials.  We want to become ‘the self-made man or woman.’We soon learn that without God, it is impossible to please Him.  There are no maybe’s or could be’s with God.  God only deals with “Yes” and “No.”  If it were not for Jesus Christ being the Way, the Truth and the Life, we would not have the promise of eternity with God.  When we discount Jesus as the Son of God, we lose our hope of attaining life with Him.The sentence – For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory….Praise the Lord, the God of Israel, who lives from everlasting to everlasting. Amen and amen!  Psalm 41:13…and from Revelation 3:14 -“Write this letter to the angel of the church in Laodicea. This is the message from the one who is the Amen—the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God’s new creation. When we say, ‘Amen‘, we are invoking the promise of God, who is Jesus Christ our Savior.  Each time we say, ‘Amen‘, our voices are heard by God in Heaven.  When God hears “Amen”, He hears a resounding ‘YES’ to his Son…Jesus Christ. For Jesus Christ, the Son of God, does not waver between “Yes” and “No.” He is the one whom Silas, Timothy, and I preached to you, and as God’s ultimate “Yes,” he always does what he says. For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory. 2 Corinthians 1:19-20
