July 31, 2017 – Psalm 29:9-10

The voice of the Lord twists mighty oaks and strips the forests bare. In his Temple everyone shouts, “Glory!” The Lord rules over the floodwaters. The Lord reigns as king forever. Psalm 29:9-10

How big is the God you worship?  We all worship someone or something.  Our Lord God used His voice to create the universe, the stars, the heavens, and everything in our world.  He can still the waters. He created you and He created me.

Why do I worship our Lord God?  He is the essence of Love.  Every thought and action is because He loves us.  He sent Jesus to save us and the Holy Spirit to teach us.  He gives us untold blessings we take for granted, and often do not see.

I can do all this through Him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13. Our Lord God is faithful, true, and loves us.  When we trust Him and love Him with all our heart, mind and strength, He blesses us with peace.

When we are tired and weary of the demands of life, where do we long to go?  To the beach, to view lofty mountains, or step into the ocean or a mighty river?  Our ‘get-a-way’ is simply a longing to be with God the Father, through the wonders He created.  God sent us Jesus Christ to show us His heart of love.

The biggest moment in our lives is the decision to trust and believe on God’s Son, Jesus.  He is the ‘door to life’ more abundant, free, and forgiven.  All my questions in life are answered in His Grace and Glory.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Matthew 11:28-28.

The Lord gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace. Psalm 29:11
