August 1, 2017 – Colossians 3:14-15
Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. Colossians 3:14-15.
No matter what fashion we wear, it will not harmonize or match if it doesn’t include love. Not the ‘I love ice cream’ kind of love. But the I love you no matter what your skin color, or the way you smile. It is the forgiving kind of love accepting another soul. Soul to Soul love in the name of Jesus.
We are all created in the image of God – and God is Love! Our God sent Jesus to come in the flesh with the message of love to bring us closer to God.
We are called to love one another and live in peace. God gives us families and siblings to learn to share love and live in peace. The fruit of the spirit listing in Galatians 5:22-23, begins: Love, Joy, Peace. Joy is tucked in between Love and Peace. Without either Love or Peace, we will never find Joy in our lives.
Teach and counsel each other does not include controlling them. When we teach, it should be with thankful hearts, singing psalms and hymns to God for His faithfulness and kindness.
After 31 years in education the one important thing I learned is loving your student and giving them room to grow. Laughter and Love and a team effort makes a classroom a family where learning in harmony sings a song of Joy. I learned more about teaching and living from my students and children than from books! And I am truly thankful.
Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. Colossians 3:16.
