July 24, 2015 – Hebrews 13:8

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8The surety of security and sameness when everything around us screams of war, hate, quarrels, disagreements and raucous behaviors, Jesus is a life-line of peace.I read this verse again.  Sameness, dependability, steadfastness and trustworthy, that is our Lord Jesus Christ.  Jesus Christ spells answered prayer, peace and joy and a daily dose of hope in our lives.  His mercies, indeed. are new every morning whether the sun is shining or winking at me from behind a cloud.The God of Peace will equip you and me with everything good to do the will of The One God, who sent his son Jesus Christ and raised Him from the dead.  This sacrifice by our Great Shepherd on the cross is our Eternal Covenant.  This Eternal Covenant is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.May we learn what His Will is for our lives, follow Him and give Him the glory not just yesterday, or today but every day that He gives us breath.Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. Hebrews 13:20-21
