July 10, 2019 – Psalm 89:9-12

You rule the oceans. You subdue their storm-tossed waves. You crushed the great sea monster. You scattered your enemies with your mighty arm. The heavens are yours, and the earth is yours; everything in the world is yours—You created it all. You created north and south. Mount Tabor and Mount Hermon praise your name. Psalm 89:9-12.

The Verbs tell us who You are.  You Rule, Subdue, Crush, and Scatter enemies. What is left  for us to do?  We sing Praises to Your Name day and night!

No matter which direction we look, you have been there.  Have we ever wondered why we make lists of places we want to see?  We long to go to the highest mountain and the farthest sea.  Are we searching for God? I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence!  If I go up to heaven, You are there; if I go down to the grave,  if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there Your Hand will guide me, and Your strength will support me.  Psalm 139:7-10.

Your righteousness, O God, reaches to the highest heavens. You have done such wonderful things. Who can compare with you, O God?  Psalm 71:19.

You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of Your Presence and the pleasures of living with You forever.  Psalm 16:11.

We search for righteousness, unfailing love, and truth. We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.  Romans 3:22.

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne. Unfailing love and truth walk before you as attendants.  Happy are those who hear the joyful call to worship, for they will walk in the light of Your presence, Lord. Psalm 89:14-15.
