January 4, 2021 – Joshua 1:7-8

Only be strong and very courageous, being careful to do according to all the law that Moses my servant commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Joshua 1:7-8.

And he shall stand and shepherd his flock in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God. And they shall dwell secure, for now he shall be great to the ends of the earth.  Micah 5:4.  Even our strength comes from the Lord our God.  His Words are written in His Word.

Meditate on the word day and night.  Meditation is not emptying the mind, but filling it with His Words.  We may make ourselves physically strong with a regimen of training.  We become spiritually strengthened by the discipline of choosing holiness of His Word to fill our minds and hearts.

Dear Lord God, create in me a clean heart, strengthen my spirit, never turning from you. I pray in His Name of my Savior – Jesus, Amen.

Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!  Psalm 27:14.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.  Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. Ephesians 6:10-11.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9.
