January 3, 2019 – Psalm 89:14-16
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before you. Blessed are the people who know the festal shout, who walk, O Lord, in the light of your face, who exult in your name all the day and in your righteousness are exalted. Psalm 89:14-16.
Knowing Righteousness and Justice emanate from the God the Father, and Love and Faithfulness go before Him, what happens when you travel to a place where there is no place to worship? Where no one knows the name of Jesus?
This is a place where there is no Light, no Truth, no Joy, and no Peace. In such a place there is no faith or hope. When we see the innocent faces of children around us, we do not want their innocence to be lost. This is when we pray for our family and teach them through songs and His Word the live in the glory and light of God the Father. His Name becomes a matter of rejoicing and love.
Teaching our children to reflect the light of Jesus to others they know and praying these words over and with our families as they walk through life: Blessed are the people who know the festal shout, who walk, O Lord, in the light of your face, who exult in your name all the day and in your righteousness are exalted.
Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst. But I said to you that you have seen me and yet do not believe. John 6:35-36.
For you are the glory of their strength; by your favor our horn is exalted. For our shield belongs to the Lord, our king to the Holy One of Israel. Psalm 89:17-18.
