January 6, 2020 – Psalm 19:1-3

The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims His handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard. Psalm 19:1-3.

This Psalm and its contents never fail to intrigue me when I consider the magnificence of the skies.   At this moment in the dawning, of the sun, is heralded by streaks of dark blue  and crimson clouds near the horizon. The colors speak of majesty of our Lord speaking to us. He fills me with Awe. As the Light brightens, I am reminded of the verse,I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12.

A complete thought comes to me and it heightens my joy of being. The God who created the world, created even me, and loves me so, He will not let me go. He sent his Son to die for me.  His law is clean and enduring truth. Oh, that I listen and drink it in.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. Psalm 19:14.  This is my daily prayer.  Help me to share your everlasting love by serving others with every breath You give me.

But You, Eternal One, wrap around me like an impenetrable shield. You give me glory and lift my eyes up to the heavens.  Psalm 3:3.

The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether. Psalm 19:7-9.
