January 3, 2016 – Ephesians 5:8-9

For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true. Ephesians 5:8-9What happens when we are filled with darkness?  Our life is lived, bouncing from idea to idea, every new concept, or whatever pulls us at any moment.  Once we believe in Jesus and His Love, we have Purpose and Reason to live.  Life is lived according His purpose and His leading and guidance.We live as people of the Light – producing only what is good, right, and true.  And we give thanks for everything, realizing that what is in our lives is God –  teaches us to live in His Light.When I am most discouraged in life, I pray for His Peace.  It is then I hear the Captain of my Soul, call out, “Steady as she goes…”The disciples went and woke him up, shouting, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”  Jesus responded, “Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!” Then he got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly there was a great calm. The disciples were amazed. “Who is this man?” they asked. “Even the winds and waves obey him!” Matthew 8:25-27Each of us will answer this question…”Who is this man?” Our answer reveals our eternal destiny.And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. And further, submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. Ephesians 5:20-21
