I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength. Ephesians 1:17-19Can you imagine having someone pray beyond, ‘have a good day, or make him well, or ease his heart’?  That is truly treasured brother who prays for us to the wisdom and revelation to know God better.    To pray that our eyes be enlightened to know the hope that is in Christ Jesus is beyond friendship.  It is kinship through Jesus Christ.  There is no greater love than this.And what more do we need?  Jesus is enough.  …Because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God’s people—the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard in the true message of the gospel that has come to you. In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace.  2 Corinthians 12:9The verses end this way…..the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.   WHAT MORE could we ever want or hope to possess?  We do not have any concept of his riches – it is beyond our understanding. But we do know that our hope is in Jesus Christ and our hope is stored where it cannot be taken away or destroyed….in Heaven.  This gospel that bears fruit and grows throughout the whole world is of God’s Grace.  It goes beyond anything we will ever encounter through our own thinking. Grace, grace, God’s grace, Grace that will pardon and cleanse within…Grace that is greater than all our sin….…because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God’s people—the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard in the true message of the gospel that has come to you. In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace.   Colossians 1:4-6
